  22. I'm curious, has anyone run this benchmark on a multi-processor Alpha
  23. system?  For example, the quad-275Mhz 2100 system for Windows NT.  If
  24. so, how does the time compare?  Does multi-processor help LW much?

  40. You have to remember that RISC binary images, by their very nature, are
  41. usually bigger than CISC binary images (especially so for Alpha which
  42. needs to generate multiple instructions for byte, short accesses to
  43. memory).  That could account for some of the size increase and the 
  44. eating of your memory.  How much memory does LW usually consume on other
  45. platforms (MIPS, x86)?  I would expect that Alpha memory consumption model
  46. should be fairly close to that of MIPS.
